First pair of socks! Irish wool bought on a trip to Dublin this spring from a wonderful little local yarn shop, This Is Knit. It is Townhouse Yarn in the body. I am so excited to wear these and make more!
This is Pollan by Andrea Mowry, done with Malabrigo Rios, #653 Santa Rita. Fuchsia with a touch of plum in real life. Headed to Berlin to brighten up a dark winter. It's gratifying to finish something. My second Pollan.
I look at this hat and think about next week in my area of Los Angeles where it should hit 100 degrees. Labor Day may be here but we have summer until well into October. I need to ride around with the AC cranked up. I like yarn. Knitting a sweater has been on my bucket list for at least a decade. It still is because I haven't completed a sweater yet that fits me. But I have made 50+ items in the last 1 1/2 years, mostly for family. Hats, scarves, cowls, crocheted afghans, rugs, charity scarves, 2 practice socks. The sweater will come as will a full pair of socks. The yarn is just sitting in the stash waiting.

BobbiIn 2021 I decided I needed to change my life. I thought I could reinvite myself one stitch at a time. So I decided to teach myself how to knit, having always been fond of yarn and fabric. Now knitting YouTubers are my new besties. I know there's a completed sweater tin my future that will fit me. Socks are indeed addictive. Archives
